The Procedure

Brazilian Butt Lift

Your surgeon will inserts a thin tube called a cannula, which is connected to a vacuum. This is used for the extrication of excess fat from certain areas of your body like the abdomen, hips, lower back, or thighs. Your extracted fat will be prepared and purified for transfer. Your surgeon will then proceed to inject the prepped fat into different areas of the buttocks to create your desired shape and size (fuller, curvier, and rounder).

Results

The results of buttock augmentation are immediately visible; however - you will not see your final results until a year after the surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Am I A Good Candidate For A BBL?”

A good BBL candidate is someone who wants to enhance their buttocks to a desired size and shape without needing implants. This person must have a decent amount of body fat around “donor” areas (inner thighs, back, or abdomen) to augment the buttock area. Good general health and wellness is a necessity to properly plan your procedures - this person should not have any medical condition which could affect their safety during the time of procedure or recovery. Must not smoke or can quit several weeks before their surgery date. A person who can dedicate weeks or months to their recovery – including some time off work, rest, and avoiding sitting or applying pressure to their backside.

“How long do my results last?”

As soon as the fat used to augment your buttocks develops its own inherent blood supply - your results become permanent.

“Will I need any additional “touch up” treatments?”

No, touch up treatments should not be needed.

“What are important things to know for the recovery period?”

Symptoms like pain, swelling, bruising, and redness are normal to experience during the recovery stages - the pain medication provided will help ease these symptoms. Most patients find difficulties in sitting or laying down on their buttocks for the next 2-3 weeks prior to their procedure - a specific pillow is recommended to ease those difficulties and avoid putting pressure. Avoiding exercise for the first few weeks is important - rest! High impact, strenuous activities must be avoided. Any harsh movement can be damaging to your newly transplanted fat cells. Here at Provocative Plastic Surgery special compression clothing and accessories will be offered to help your healing process.
